Muscle Cars Of The 60's And 1970's Are as popular Ever!

By: Bob

These high horse-powered,bigengined cars are just as well-loved today as they were back in the 1960's and 70's. The main difference today is the cost. And it is quite a difference! Most of these automobiles sold in the $4-5k range back in their day. today muscle cars will go from $10,000 to in the millions. It all depends on what kind of condition the automobile is in. Whether the automobile will need over haul or not is a huge factor in price. You can actually find them at reasonable price unless they have been restored. If they have been overhauled back to orginal condition, you'll pay a premium price. The Plymouth'Cuda is a stand out as one of the most sought after of the muscle cars. If you can get your hands on one and it's in good to great condition, it will set you back a few bucks. I have come across some advertised for well over $200,000 dollars. Most of the people buying these cars are from the baby boomer generation. They were the guys that wanted these cars when they were teenagers and didn't have the money for them. Now they are at a place in their lives where they can afford these automobiles and want to relive their youth. Some are turning to vintage car collecting as an investment choice. With the stock market in a mess, people are looking for alternate ways to invest their money, and the muscle cars are a pretty sure thing. The value of these automobiles has increased dramatically over the last 10 years and I don't see that stopping anytime soon. Muscle cars are not only appealing to baby boomers. Teenagers will always have a interest with big engined, ground shaking, tire smoking cars. As we all know, there is an endless supply of teenagers, so I think the muscle car will live on!
