5 Ways To Convert More Visitors Into Sales

By: Bill Protresi

Though you may get thousands of visitors every 24 hours, if you won't be able to convert them into successful purchases, your efforts will be useless. Here are five techniques you can choose to implement to dramatically increase your web conversion rate.
1. Attention-grabbing headlines. Internet users have grown impatient in this day and age. It's very easy for them to go to another web page every time they meet something even remotely boring in your own web page. The tactic is in catching their attention fast. Such can be achieved with well-written headlines. Headlines, as far as we can tell, are the first things that your prospects will see when they first arrive at your page. If they'll enjoy what they'll see, they'll hang around. If not, they'll leave just as quickly as they arrived.
2. Easy-to-read copy. You'd think that with the expanding reach of the net, more and more people will be used to reading. The contrary, however, is what is prevalent. Web users easily get weary while reading, what with the thousands of information they are asked to digest with each and every session of online browsing. The trick is in making it easy for them to read your sales letter. Use numberings and bullets as much as you can. Guarantee your copy easy to scan. Prepare your sales page for an impatient audience and you'll be fine.
3. Benefit-oriented selling. People buy leaning on emotions and provide reasons for their purchases leaning on logic. Don't forcefully advertise the technical specs of your product for your prospects to digest. Instead, inform them of the benefits they can derive from what you're offering. Inform them what they stand to gain. This is a much better method of stirring up their desire to get your product. Mention the features later on, as your audience will need such info to justify the purchase they will be planning to make.
4. Urgency marketing. Force your visitors to buy from you ASAP. Don't make them to second guess their decision, as you might lose some sales. Implement one time offers, special offers, and several possible time-sensitive tactics to seduce them into purchasing your product immediately.
5. Use interactive tools in your sales letter. Your sales copy doesn't have to be a static, direct settlement of your offer. You can include interactive devices that will push your readers to make an emotional investment on your enterprise. Ask them questions. Or, supply them with multiple choices for possible answers. Include calculator scripts that they can utilize. Make them believe that they are a part of the sales page.
